Subpoena Policy

1. Purpose and Scope

This policy outlines procedures for law enforcement, government entities, and private parties seeking customer information from HostDWorld through subpoenas, court orders, search warrants, and other legal process.

2. Service of Legal Process

We do not accept service via social media, chat support, or other informal channels.

3. Requirements for Valid Legal Requests

Requests must be issued by a court or government agency of competent jurisdiction, identify the specific account/domain/IP, specify the exact records requested, include a valid return date, and be properly signed.

4. Customer Notice

We provide notice to affected customers before disclosure unless prohibited by law, would create risk of harm, or would compromise an investigation.

5. Reimbursement of Costs

We may seek reimbursement for reasonable costs of responding to Legal Requests, communicated prior to production.

6. Preservation Requests

Send preservation requests to legal@hostdworld.com. We preserve records for up to 90 days, extendable by another 90 days upon written request.

7. Emergency Requests

Emergencies involving imminent threat of death or serious harm should be sent to legal@hostdworld.com with "EMERGENCY" in the subject line.

8. Non-Disclosure and Confidentiality Clauses

Where a Legal Request includes a gag order, we comply only to the extent required by law and may challenge overbroad orders.
